Fabian Timpen

Fabian Timpen is an accomplished ecologist currently serving as an Adviseur ecologie at Movares since July 2023, focusing on protected species, biodiversity, and nature legislation. Previous experience includes a brief role as a Junior Ecoloog at Kwinfra B.V., where tasks involved conducting ecological quickscans and supporting research on building-dwelling species. Fabian participated in the Dutch National ThinkTank in 2022, addressing biodiversity loss, and completed a trainee program on integrating biodiversity into business practices with TheRockGroup. An internship at the NIOO-KNAW involved urban ecology research on great tits, while earlier experiences included a marketing internship at Natuur & Milieu and environmental impact research in Aruba. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Biology from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology & Earth Science from University College Utrecht.
