Catherine Vandenborre

CFO at Elia Group

Catherine Vandenborre is the current CFO at Elia Group. Catherine has held various positions at Elia Group, APX-ENDEX, Belpex SA, and OCCH-CBHK.

Catherine started their career at Coopers & Lybrand as an audit senior assistant. Catherine then became the controller at OCCH-CBHK. In 1999, they became the head of accounting and finance at Elia. In 2004, they became the head of internal audit and program management. And in 2006, they became the CEO of Belpex SA.

In 2010, they joined APX-ENDEX as a member of the executive committee. Catherine held this position until 2012 when they joined Elia Group as the CFO.

Catherine Vandenborre began their educational career with an executive program at Singularity University, where they focused on helping leaders navigate accelerating changes. Catherine then went on to complete an IEP at INSEAD. After that, they obtained a Diplôme en gestion des risques financiers from Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles. Catherine also has a degree in Tax Law/Taxation from Ichec Brussels Management School and a Diploma in accountancy and bedrijfsrevisoraat from KU Leuven. Finally, they have an IAG in Applied economics from Université catholique de Louvain.

They are on a team with Patrick De Leener - Chief Assets Officer, Frédéric Dunon - Chief Customers, Market & System Officer, and Peter Michiels - Chief Human Resources & Internal Communication Officer. Catherine Vandenborre reports to Chris Peeters, CEO & Chairman.
