Rob Waddell

Rob Waddell has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Rob is currently working at Eliassen Group as the Executive Vice President & CIO, a position they started in November 2022. Prior to joining Eliassen Group, Rob held key leadership roles at Apex Systems, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and Principal from June 2021 to November 2022. Rob also held the position of Senior Vice President & CIO, Principal at Apex Systems from December 2006 to November 2022. During their tenure at Apex Systems, Rob was responsible for various aspects of IT management, including infrastructure, systems development, strategic programs, security, compliance, and certifications. Before joining Apex Systems, Rob worked as a Partner at Tatum, a Randstad Company, from July 2005 to December 2006. Rob also had experience as an Independent Consultant, owning their own consulting business, from July 2004 to June 2005. Earlier in their career, Rob held various IT management roles at Markel Corporation, Experient Technologies, LLC, Capital One, Metro Information Services, Boeing (McDonnell Douglas Aerospace), and SAIC.

Rob Waddell attended Virginia Tech from 1978 to 1982 and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Rob also studied Information Technology at Virginia Tech from 1999 to 2000, but did not obtain a degree in that field.
