Andrés Vega has extensive work experience in various financial and leadership roles. Andrés started their career as a Senior Analyst at Invercor S.A., an investment banking firm, from 1998 to 2000. Andrés then worked as an M&A Director at Helm Securities S.A., focusing on investment banking projects, from 2000 to 2001.
Andrés further demonstrated their expertise in the financial sector as Strengthening of Capital Markets Program Director at Bolsa de Valores de Colombia S.A. from 2002 to 2004. During this time, they also played a crucial role in the launch, structuring, and development of the Corporate Governance program for issuers.
In 2004, Andrés co-founded Prospectiva Financiera S.A., a firm specializing in financial consulting services. As the General Manager, they led the structuring and operation of the company while providing financial management outsourcing services to a diverse range of clients.
Having gained a wealth of experience, Andrés took on the role of CFO at D'Vinni S.A., where they effectively managed the financial aspects of the company and its subsidiaries in multiple countries from 2007 to 2009.
From 2009 to 2013, Andrés served as CFO at Biomax S.A., a publicly listed company on the Colombian Stock Exchange and a major player in the downstream oil and gas industry. In this role, they oversaw financial management, IFRS accounting, tax management, financial planning, and controllership.
Andrés continued their career as CFO at Terranum, a prominent Colombian developer, from 2014 to 2018. Andrés successfully led financial, administrative, and IT activities, driving the company's asset growth from USD 320 million to USD 1.0 billion.
In 2018, Andrés founded Abarco Bi, a consulting company specializing in investment banking, corporate finance, and business intelligence. Andrés played a pivotal role in leading several successful consulting processes, including organizing the sale of a company in the water services sector.
From 2020 to 2022, Andrés served as CFO at Demetria, a Colombian-Israeli enterprise. In this role, they led support activities encompassing finance, human resources, corporate legal, reporting, and more as the company expanded its operations in the USA, Colombia, Brazil, and Israel.
Currently, Andrés Vega holds the position of Financial Consolidation Director at Elite Flower, starting in 2022.
Andrés Vega obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Liceo de Cervantes between 1977 and 1987. Andrés then pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at Universidad de Los Andes from 1988 to 1993. In 1994-1995, they completed a Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the same university, focusing on Business Administration. Andrés further enhanced their management skills by completing a program in Oil & Gas Business International Management at Universidad de Los Andes in 2013. In 2020, they obtained a certification in Bankruptcy and Intervention from Universidad Sergio Arboleda. Andrés also completed a program on IFRS Principles and Implementation at MASO Consultores in 2010.
