John Scifers began their work experience as an Avionics Technician in the US Navy, where they served for five years. ✪ John then worked as the Chief Technologist and Founder at Signature Solutions, Inc. In 2003, they joined eTest IT as a Consultant and Instructor. From 2005 to 2009, they worked at Rand McNally as a Consultant, Mobile & .NET Developer, and Sr. Software Test Engineer. In 2006, they became an Instructor at Advanced Computer Training, where they provided instruction on automated software testing. In 2008, they founded SCIGON, a company that provides technology and engineering-focused solutions. John Scifers is currently the President and CEO of Scifers & Associates, a business that offers various solutions and products to clients across different industries. Additionally, they are the President of the Illinois Chapter and National Secretary of the Elite Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Network. Throughout their career, they have been involved in promoting the inclusion of veteran-owned businesses and has contributed to various events and initiatives related to this cause.

John Scifers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1999. Prior to that, they attended the US Navy from 1989 to 1990 where they pursued Advanced First Team Avionics and completed the A-School and F-14 Fleet Readiness Maintenance Program. In addition to their education, John Scifers has obtained several certifications, including being a Veteran Business Enterprise in Ohio, participating in the Illinois Veterans Business Program, being a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business in New York, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business at the federal level, a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise in Missouri, and a Business Enterprise Owned by People With Disabilities in the City of Chicago.
