Hirroaki Kobayashi

Hiroaki Kobayashi, MD, has served as a director of the company since February 2020. Dr. Kobayashi currently serves as a Venture Partner at the University of Tokyo Edge Capital Company (UTEC), focusing on supporting companies in the life sciences and medical fields. Prior to UTEC, Dr. Kobayashi worked for several medical device companies, including an early-stage start-up. He is emergency medicine and intensive care physician by training and worked for 5+ years in multiple academic medical centers. As a Fulbright scholar, he received an MBA with distinction at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where he focused on strategy and healthcare management. He earned his M.D. from the University of Tokyo.
