Monica Gangar is a Poverty Law Advocate at The Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver since December 2022, responsible for managing the daily operations of the Poverty Law Clinic, client interviews, legal research, and drafting various legal documents. Prior experience includes roles as a Receptionist/Legal Assistant at Kaushal Law Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed initial client intake and document preparation, and a Legal Intern at The Daily Scrum News, focusing on Canadian privacy laws. Monica has also held positions promoting diversity and inclusion with the Law Society, serving as a 2L Student Representative at the University of Sussex, and providing administrative support at Simon Fraser University. Education includes a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in Criminology from Simon Fraser University.
