Claire Førland

Claire Førland has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Claire started their career at AREVA NP as a Civil Work Field Engineer before moving on to become a Civil Work Project Manager. At Odfjell Drilling, they served as a Project Manager, overseeing complex projects and managing various aspects such as budget, procurement, and documentation.

Claire later joined DNV GL as a Business Consultant and then worked at Zoaring as a Business Development Manager and Portfolio Manager. Claire also spent some time at Capgemini as a Senior Consultant and at PWN Norway as a Mentor Lead.

In 2018, they joined MHWirth as a Project Manager for Digital Technologies, where they developed an innovation process and managed digital technology projects. Claire then worked as an Innovation Business Developer at Mer, focusing on innovation and value creation for new business arenas. Claire also had a brief stint as a Guest Lecturer at the School of Business and Law, University of Agder / Handelshøyskolen ved Universitetet i Agder.

Currently, they hold the position of IT Infrastructure & Operation Director at Elkem ASA, where they are responsible for managing the company's digital workspace and infrastructure.

Claire Førland obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International/Global Studies from BI Norwegian Business School in 2017. Claire also attended IE Business School, NBS Alumni Affairs, NTU, and University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2016-2017, but no specific degrees or fields of study were mentioned for those institutions. In 2005-2009, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. In 2007-2008, they studied International Project Management at École spéciale des Travaux publics, du Bâtiment et de l'Industrie. Additionally, Claire has obtained certifications in various areas, including "Kurs i styrearbeid" from Næringsforeningen i Kristiansandsregionen in 2019, "PRINCE2® Foundation 2017" from Glasspaper in 2018, and "ScrumMaster" from Scrum Alliance in April 2018.
