Louis Vovelle

Louis Vovelle is the Senior Vice President Innovation and R&D at Elkem. Prior to their current position, they were with Elkem AS, TECHTERA, and Bluestar Silicones. Louis has been in the industry for almost 20 years now.

Louis Vovelle started their career in 2001 as the VP R&D of Rhodia Hpcii SAS. Louis then became the R&D Director of Rhodia Silicones in 2004. In 2007, they were appointed as the VP Innovation & Strategy of Bluestar Silicones where they worked for 8 years. In 2015, they moved to their current company, Elkem.

Louis Vovelle received a degree in engineering from Chimie ParisTech - PSL, followed by a degree in executive development from CEDEP - Executive Development – Fontainebleau. Louis then completed their PhD in physics from Ecole centrale de Lyon.
