Tommy Mokkelbost

Tommy Mokkelbost has extensive experience in the field of research and development. Tommy started their career as a Post.doc. at NTNU, focusing on ceramic powder synthesis. After that, they joined SINTEF as a Research Scientist, specializing in battery research, particularly Li-ion batteries. Tommy later became a Senior Research Scientist and project leader in various battery-related projects. In 2016, Tommy became a Member of the Board at SINTEF and held this position until 2017. At Elkem ASA, they served as the Head of Technical Support before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Product Development & Innovation, Silicon. Additionally, Tommy was a Styremedlem Tekna Privat SINTEF at Tekna from 2010 to 2017.

Tommy Mokkelbost holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), which they earned from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree (Sivilingeniør) in Inorganic Chemistry from NTNU from 1998 to 2000. Tommy began their educational journey at Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST), where they received a Høgskoleingeniør degree in Chemistry from 1995 to 1998.
