Genesis Hurst

Genesis Hurst has a diverse work experience. Genesis began their career as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Pasadena Independent School District from October 2014 to June 2015 before becoming a 7th Grade Writing Teacher from July 2015 to June 2019. Following this, they joined the New Caney Independent School District in July 2019 as an English Learner Instructional Coach until May 2020, and then transitioned to the role of English Learner Instructional Specialist from June 2020 to May 2022. Currently, they are a Customer Success Manager at Ellevation Education, starting in May 2022. During their time at The University of Arizona, from August 2011 to May 2014, Genesis worked as a Resident Assistant and also served as a Special Event Coordinator.

Genesis Hurst has a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Lamar University, which was completed in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Arizona, which they completed from 2010 to 2014.
