Electrical Engineer at Elliott Bay Design Group

Maggie Stagner has worked in various engineering roles since 2017. In 2017, they were an Assistant Swim Coach at Beverly Hills Athletic Club. In 2018, they were an Intern in the Offshore Engineering Department at American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). At ABS, they reviewed basic plans, applied international regulations and ABS class rules, and engaged domestic and international clients. In 2019, they were an Intern at Chevron in the Marine Upstream Services group, where they gained some exposure to electrical systems and engineering. In 2020, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern remotely for Elliott Bay Design Group, revising documents and drawings, developing electrical load analyses, and creating electrical one-line diagrams. In 2021, they were an Engineer I in the Naval Architecture department at General Dynamics Electric Boat. There, they performed hydrostatic calculations, participated in major ship construction milestones, and coordinated with carpenters, enlisted sailors, and engineers of other disciplines. Finally, in 2022, they returned to Elliott Bay Design Group as an Electrical Engineer.

Maggie Stagner obtained a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2020. Maggie went on to pursue a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, which they completed in 2021. Additionally, they obtained their Civil Engineer in Training certification from the NCEES in April 2021.
