Dr. Gregory Moore is corporate Vice President for Microsoft, leading global health and life sciences. He is responsible for research and development collaborations, partnerships, strategy, AI and machine learning engineering teams, and cloud and data product development teams to positively transform health and life sciences. Prior to Microsoft, Dr. Moore served as vice president at Google, leading Google Cloud Health and Life Sciences globally. Dr. Moore is an industry thought leader, driving innovation to enable access to care and digital transformation toward a more transparent, interoperable and AI-driven foundation for health care delivery and a leader driving life sciences innovation at the intersection of complex biology and planetary-scale computing.
Dr. Moore is an engineer, practicing physician, and experienced educator. He is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology, Neuroradiology, and Clinical Informatics. Prior to his leadership roles at Microsoft and Google, Dr. Moore served as the Chief Emerging Technology and Informatics Officer at Geisinger Health System, where he was also Director of the Institute of Advanced Application. His prior academic and clinical appointments include Stanford University School of Medicine, Penn State University College of Medicine, and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of DaVita (NYSE:DVA), and served as an Independent Director on the Board of Hillrom (NYSE:HRC).
Dr. Moore is a prolific author with a substantial track record as a funded research investigator from the NIH and other federal agencies as well as from industry sponsors and private foundations. Dr. Moore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology both in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology and is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Clinical Informatics.
