Chris Depow

Chris DePow has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. From 2011 to 2013, they served as an Operations Manager at J.M. Rodgers Co, Inc. In 2014, they worked as a Summer Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Following this, from 2015 to 2016, they were a Summer Associate/Associate at Cresa, specializing in Commercial Real Estate. Joining J.P. Morgan in 2016, Chris initially worked as an Associate in the Compliance Leadership Development Program, where they conducted surveillance investigations and composed Suspicious Activity Reports. Chris later became a Senior Associate in Global Financial Crimes Compliance. From 2020 to 2021, Chris held the position of Vice President in Global Financial Crimes Compliance, focusing on policies and regulatory compliance related to AML/KYC regulations. Chris is currently at Elliptic, serving as Head of Risk Management since November 2022, after previously holding the role of Senior Advisor for Financial Institution Regulation & Compliance from 2021 to 2022.

Chris DePow obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University in the years 2006-2011. Following this, Chris attended Rutgers Law School from 2013 to 2016 and earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. In May 2020, Chris obtained a certification in FinTech Law & Policy from Duke University | Coursera.
