Navein Austin Fernandes

Navein Austin Fernandes is a seasoned Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in product development, particularly within the higher education sector. At ellucian, previously known as Datatel+SGHE, Navein has held various roles since April 2012, including Technical Lead and Specialist for Product Development. Prior to this, Navein worked at SunGard from September 2006 to April 2012, focusing on higher education products, and held positions as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at eFinserve from August 2005 to September 2006, developing financial products related to insurance and mutual funds. Early career experience includes a teaching role at NIIT Limited, where Navein taught foundational computer concepts. Navein holds an MSc in Computer Science from Mangalore University and a BSc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Milagres College, along with earlier educational qualifications from St Josephs Arts and Science College and Sacred Heart School in Bahrain.
