Vandad M.

Vandad M. is currently a Flight Software Engineer at Elodin (YC W24) since September 2024. Prior to this role, Vandad was an Embedded Software/GNC Coop at LTA Research and Exploration from January 2022 to August 2024, where responsibilities included maintaining a sub-scale HITL platform and serving as a flight test engineer for the first GNC system on an airship. Vandad also led the development of an avionics flight readiness computer at Akronauts Rocket Design Team from January 2023 to May 2024, mentoring junior members in software development. Earlier, Vandad worked as a Software Developer at The University of Akron, developing a cross-platform mobile application for spectral analysis kits and creating an image processing library. Vandad gained experience as a Software Engineering Coop at MIM Software Inc., assisting in image processing software for detecting heart abnormalities in CAT scans. Vandad holds a degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Akron, which was pursued from 2019 to 2024, and graduated with a High School Diploma from Orange High School in 2019.
