Karen Wirth

Karen Wirth is an experienced educator and business development professional. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Elon University since August 2020 and an Instructor and Advisor at North Carolina State University since August 2015, Karen has also held roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Business Development at HealthMatters Communications from October 2001 to July 2013 and working in HIV Marketing at GlaxoSmithKline from 1995 to 2001. Karen holds a PhD in Sociology from North Carolina State University, an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a BS in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
