Sven Vermeersch

Sven Vermeersch is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in plant control, sustainability compliance, and taxation. Currently serving as Plant Controller at Elopak since June 2018, Sven oversees budget preparation, monthly reporting, and production closure in ERP systems. Previously, at Cargill (2003 - May 2018), Sven held multiple roles, including Sustainability Compliance Lead, Excise Tax Controller, Key Contract Controller, and Business Controller, focusing on developing sustainability programs, compliance with excise regulations, and managing long-term contracts. Sven also contributed to Stichting Pensioenfonds Cargill BV as a board member and secretary, with responsibilities in financial planning and strategy. Early career experience includes roles as a Tax Accountant and Cost Controller. Sven holds a Doctorandus degree in Business Economics from Tilburg University.
