Danny Powell (he/him)

Danny Powell has a diverse work experience in talent acquisition and recruiting spanning multiple companies and industries. Danny currently works as a Talent Acquisition Lead at Elroy Air, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Recruiter at a Stealth Robotics Startup from April to October 2022.

From July 2020 to April 2022, Danny worked at Kittyhawk as a Recruiting Lead. During their tenure, they played a pivotal role in expanding the company by hiring 70 full-time employees. Danny also implemented a competency-based recruiting process to enhance consistency and diversity in the hiring process.

Before joining Kittyhawk, Danny worked at Wisk Aero as a Recruiting Manager from August 2019 to April 2020. Danny successfully managed a team of five recruiters while handling a full load of requisitions. Danny was also involved in the joint venture between Kitty Hawk and Boeing.

In 2019, Danny worked as a Lead Technical Recruiter at both Wisk Aero (from July to August) and Kittyhawk (from March to June). Prior to that, they served as a Lead Recruiter at Scaled Inference from April 2018 to March 2019.

Danny began their recruiting career at BloomReach in 2012, where they held various roles. Initially, they worked as a Recruiting Coordinator (Contract) from February to August 2012. Subsequently, they joined as Talent Acquisition and then transitioned to Talent Acquisition Manager from August 2012 to August 2016. Danny played a key role in expanding the company from 55 to over 250 employees across multiple offices.

Before entering the recruiting field, Danny owned and operated a photography business called Daniel Powell Photography from May 2008 to May 2013. Their business specialized in wedding and portrait photography, where they honed their skills in working quickly under pressure and capturing candid moments.

Earlier in their career, Danny briefly worked as a Talent Coordinator at BlueArc, a subsidiary of Hitachi Data Systems, from August to October 2011.

Danny Powell (he/him) earned a Bachelor's degree in Photography from San Jose State University. Danny attended the university from 2007 to 2010.
