Nur Harell has a diverse work experience in the aviation and engineering field. They started their career as a Structural Engineer at IAMT Engineering GmbH & Co. KG from August 2012 to March 2014. Following that, they worked as a Design Engineer, Future Projects at Airbus for five months. Nur then joined Cape Productions, Inc. as a Navigation Engineer for three months in 2015. Simultaneously, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a GPS Laboratory Research Assistant at Stanford University, starting in September 2014.
In 2016, Nur joined Airware as a Flight Controls Engineer, where they developed autopilot software for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. They designed and implemented flight control and mission guidance logic, including contingency strategies for off-nominal flight conditions.
From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Skyryse, first as the Vehicle Autonomy Lead from January 2017 to April 2019, and later as an Advisor from April to June 2019. Currently, Nur is working at Elroy Air, holding the role of Director, Airborne Systems since May 2019.
Nur Harell obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin. This degree was earned between the years 2011 and 2014. Following this, Nur pursued a Master's degree in the same field of study at Stanford University from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Nur Harell obtained a certification as a Remote Pilot (Part 107) from the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2017.
