Ben Walton

Ben Walton has a diverse work experience in the field of security and intelligence. Ben is currently working as the Head of Security at Elwood, a role they started in January 2024. Prior to this, they were the Lead Security Engineer at Elwood from November 2021 to January 2024. Before joining Elwood, Ben worked at ICE as a Senior Engineer - Cyber fraud from December 2019 to November 2021. Ben also served as the Cyber Risk Intelligence Manager at BNP Paribas from August 2018 to December 2019. In addition, Ben gained experience at Digital Shadows, where they held the positions of Head of Production Service from September 2017 to August 2018 and Threat Intelligence Manager from October 2015 to September 2017. Prior to their time at Digital Shadows, they worked at Telefónica as an L3 Cyber SOC Global Analyst from January 2015 to October 2015. Ben's career began in the Royal Marines, where they served as a Deputy Intelligence Watch Officer from February 2014 to February 2015, a Royal Marines Commando Intelligence Analyst from May 2010 to February 2014, and as a Royal Marines Commando from September 2006 to May 2010.

Ben Walton completed their education as follows:

- From 2015 to 2018, they studied at Edinburgh Napier University, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Advanced Security and Digital Forensics.

- From 2013 to 2015, they attended Staffordshire University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons degree in Intelligence and Security Systems.

- In 2014, they completed a NVQ Level 3 program in Intelligence Analysis at City and Guilds.

- In 2013, they received a Certificate in Risk Management (CIRM) from The Institute of Risk Management.

- From 2000 to 2002, they studied at Abbey Grange Sixth Form College and obtained 3 A-Levels in Business Studies, Technology, and Biology.
