Razza Shah has extensive work experience in various geology and subsurface-related roles. Starting in 2011, Razza worked as a Geologist at Tatweer Petroleum for three years before joining ADNOC Group as a Geologist. In 2018, Razza worked as a Geologic Advisor (consultant) at QRI Group. Moving forward, Razza joined Subsurface Modeling in 2020 as a Geoscientist, where they consulted with CO2 sources and CCS project developers to assess CO2 storage suitability. Currently, Razza is working at Elysian as the VP Subsurface, where they focus on subsurface evaluation tasks for carbon storage projects and solving subsurface uncertainty problems.
Razza Shah attended Royal Holloway, University of London from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Geoscience. Prior to this, from 2007 to 2010, Razza Shah completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geology at the University of Southampton. In terms of additional certifications, Razza Shah obtained the Certified Petroleum Geologist (CPG) certification from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) in 2019.
