As the Chief Growth Officer for EM Key Solutions, Matt Terl is responsible for leading all strategic growth efforts using his exceptional experience and knowledge in the areas of opportunity capture, proposal development, and professional writing. Matt will oversee the formation of business partnerships and negotiation of contracts as well as lead the company’s planning and execution of strategies to increase sales and company growth.
Matt began his Federal Health IT career as a proposal manager and leverages that expertise to manage business development and lead our team to success. Matt has excelled in facilitating strategic business relationships as well as assembling multi-functional teams and leading the planning, production, and delivery of proposal responses from kickoff to contract award. He will oversee in all business development and proposal stages to ensure all government requirements are met and solutions exceed expectations. Matt will use his in-depth knowledge of the Federal Health IT marketplace and nearly 15 years of extensive capture management, proposal management, and technical writing experience to continue to improve EMKS processes in support of corporate growth.
Matt has a Bachelor of Arts in English, concentrating in Creative Writing from the University of Maryland located in College Park, MD. After completing his undergrad, Matt went on to attend graduate school at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned a Master of Arts in English, also concentrating in Creative Writing. During his time at CU, Matt became the proud winner of the Jovanovich Imaginative Writing Award! Matt is certified in ITIL v.3 Foundation as well as an Agile Scrum Master.
Matt complements this position with over two decades of experience as a writer, editor, and instructional designer for various high-level organizations and audiences, including business writing and analysis, feature journalism, social media, criticism, fiction, and sports writing. He has done freelance writing for some truly incredible companies, including the Washington Post, Spin, CMT, and the Baltimore Examiner, to name a few. Matt complements his experience and skills with a Master of Arts in English.
