James Durrenberger

James Durrenberger is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in managing financial statements and audits across various sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at Embark since August 2015, Durrenberger has also held the position of Sr. Director and acted as interim Chief Accounting Officer for both private and public companies, overseeing quarterly and annual financial audits and collaborating with boards and audit committees. Prior roles include Sr. Internal Auditor at Alon USA and Sr. Auditor at 7-Eleven, as well as an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where expertise in financial consulting and compliance with US GAAP was demonstrated. Durrenberger's early career included an internship at the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality, contributing to database system reviews and technical documentation. Durrenberger holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
