Mario Lazaro

Mario Lazaro is the CIO at Ember Fund. Mario has previously worked as an Engineer Manager at GumGum, a research assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology, and an IT service provider at Disaragon S.L.

Lazaro began their career as an engineer manager at GumGum in March 2014. Mario was responsible for leading the Ad Server engineering team and grew the team from 2 persons to 8. Mario also increased revenue for the company during their tenure. In August 2018, they left GumGum to become the CIO at Ember Fund.

Before working at GumGum, Lazaro was a research assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology. Mario worked on the Aalto Savanna project, which aimed to provide a simple means to provision a Hadoop cluster on top of OpenStack. Mario left the position in January 2014.

Lazaro’s first job was with Disaragon S.L., where they provided IT services. Mario left the company in September 2012.

Mario Lazaro has a degree in Computer Science from the Universidad de Zaragoza and a degree in Information Technology from the Aalto-yliopisto.

Mario Lazaro reports to Alex Wang, CEO. Mario Lazaro works with Cher Park - Head of Growth, Nicolas Smith - Operations Manager, and Guillaume Torche - CTO.
