Chris Wakeham is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in consumer electronics and hardware technology. Currently serving as Principal Electrical Engineer at Ember Technologies, Inc. since April 2015, Chris oversees system design and component selection across multiple projects, focusing on advanced technologies such as microprocessors, radio links, and multi-cell battery systems. Previous roles include Hardware Technology Manager at Microsoft, where Chris was responsible for key component selection for handset projects and advised on new sensor technologies, and HW Technology Manager at Nokia, leading the component selection process for the first Windows Phone. Chris's career began at Nokia in various roles, including RFIC Development Manager and RF Line Manager, where innovative solutions such as the world's first single silicon dual band CDMA receiver were developed. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering from Bangor University.
