Carrie Shaw is the CEO and founder of Embodied Labs. Carrie has dedicated their life to helping others and improving communities. Carrie started their journey with the Peace Corps as a Community Health Educator from August 2011 to August 2013. Afterwards, they became a Project Leader for Engineers Without Borders USA from August 2009 to May 2010. Carrie then became a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from January 2007 to May 2009. After taking a break to be a family caregiver from August 2006 to August 2014, Carrie became a Research Assistant at The Center for Design Innovation from August 2013 to August 2014. Finally, they landed their current position as CEO and Founder at Embodied Labs in December 2000.

Carrie Shaw has a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Public Health and a Master of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago - Graduate College in Biomedical Visualization.
