Janani Swaminathan

Janani Swaminathan has worked in the tech and research industry since 2017. In 2017, they were a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Roboticist in Residence at Oregon State University. During this time, they worked with Professor Heather Knight at the CHARISMA lab, exploring the design and interaction behaviors of robots. In 2020, they became a Software Developer, Interactive Design at Embodied, Inc.

Janani Swaminathan has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, which they obtained in 2018. Janani then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Oregon State University in 2020, with a GPA of 4/4.
