Tommy Edmunds has three years of work experience. Tommy began their career in 2021 as a Software Engineer at IDEMIA. In 2021, they also worked as a Software Engineer at Open Source, where they designed Express middleware to implement Google's OAuth 2.0, issued JavaScript Web Tokens to streamline user login and signup, and stored and wrote user information to an SQL database to enforce ACID compliance and persist user preferences and session storage. Tommy also leveraged Redux to manage the application's state across separate pages, allowing for centralization of fetched data, preventing repetition of code, and streamlining the management of the application's state. Additionally, they employed Puppeteer.js for its integration with the Node ecosystem and superior control over Chromium in order to send requests to online retailers and return pricing data to the user. Finally, they created a robust Chrome extension to inform users of outside air quality, utilized IQAir's API to fetch user's geolocation, allowing for fast and accurate data results, and employed CSS animations to improve and streamline user accessibility.
