Rafael Bertolin is an experienced Product Development Engineer at Embraer, specializing in flight control laws for the eVTOL project since November 2022. Previously, Rafael held the position of Aeroservoelasticity Engineer at Akaer for a brief period in 2022 and served as a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan's Airbus-Michigan Center for Aero-Servo-Elasticity of Very Flexible Aircraft from March 2021 to July 2022, focusing on the modeling and control of flexible aircraft. Prior roles include Research Assistant at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) from March 2016 to July 2020, contributing to various projects including the ITA X-HALE and Inova Aerodefesa FINEP/Embraer. Rafael holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from ITA, as well as dual Bachelor’s degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Science and Technology from Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei.
