Eduard J. Pulkstenis

Eduard Pulkstenis is an accomplished insurance executive with extensive experience in underwriting and strategic leadership. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer at EMC Insurance Companies since September 2022, Pulkstenis oversees the corporate underwriting function, focusing on profitable growth through strategic direction, product development, and governance. Previous roles include Co-Founder and Chief Underwriting Officer at Joyn Insurance and Head of Underwriting and Growth at Blackboard Insurance, among others. Pulkstenis has held various executive positions across prominent companies such as Hamilton Insurance Group and The Hartford. Educated at Messiah University with a B.A. in Mathematics and Statistics, Pulkstenis also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
