Xumei Zhao

Xumei (Mei) Zhao is an experienced leader in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Director, Global Project Lead for Late-Stage Project Leadership at EMD Serono, Inc. since October 2022. Previously, Xumei held the position of Associate Director, Project Leader in R&D strategy, Portfolio & Innovation at EMD Serono from May 2019 to October 2022, and prior to that, worked as Manager of Clinical Biomarker and Companion Diagnostics from November 2015 to April 2019. Xumei began a career in project management and business analysis at Novartis Pharmaceuticals from July 2007 to October 2015, transitioning to the role of Biomarker Trial Head. Xumei's academic background includes studies at the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
