Connor Armstrong has been employed in various roles since 2017. In 2017, they were an Assistant Operations Manager at Garten, where they managed budget analytics for client vending programs and oversaw a small operations team. In 2020, they were a Research Assistant at San Francisco State University, where they worked with the Computer Science department to cultivate artificial intelligence software to aid the visually impaired, and also sought to further understand imposter syndrome as experienced by underrepresented groups within STEM fields through qualitative data analysis. Connor was also a Research Assistant at the Motivation & Emotion Research Lab, where they helped to curate an inclusive study and took part in analytics and data entry. In 2021, they were a Research Assistant at the Emotion, Health, and Psychophysiology Lab at the University of California, San Francisco, where they studied how emotions are experienced differently along the developmental trajectory, how aging influences risk perception and risk-taking, how decisions are influenced by acute and chronic stress, and how people manage and attempt to control their racial biases. Currently, they are a Laboratory Operator III at Emerald Cloud Lab, where they previously worked as a Laboratory Operator II and Laboratory Operator I.
Connor Armstrong attended San Francisco State University from 2015 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Philosophy. In November 2021, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn: Learning SQL Programming and SQL: Data Reporting and Analysis.
