Issa Jouaneh

Issa joined Emerald in March 2021 as Executive Vice President of Emerald Xcelerator, leading the company’s market diversification strategy through new shows, partnerships, and sub-expo launches. Most recently, Issa founded and led two start-ups in the exhibitions and meetings & events industries. Prior to that, Issa spent over 14 years at American Express Company and American Express Global Business Travel, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager leading American Express Meetings & Events globally. Over the course of ten years, Issa successfully led the transformation of the business, tripling its size and reaching over 2400 employees in 25+ proprietary markets. Prior to American Express Company, Issa was a consultant at EDS for 9 years where he led a number of web and application development teams.

Issa holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from Schulich School of Business at York University.
