Sam Ihns has had a varied and impressive work experience. In 2021, they began working as an Elementary School 3 Enrichment Teacher at The Advent School and as a Hardware Design Engineer at Emerald Innovations. In 2020, they worked as a Lab Instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2019, they worked as a Robotics Intern at iRobot and as a Robotics Engineering Intern at Multiply Labs. In 2018, they worked as President and Risk Manager at the MIT Interfraternity Council, Lab Manager at MIT Project Manus, Product Engineer at Aegis Impact, Product Designer at RegattaSport, and Mechanical Design Engineer at the MIT Sports Technology Lab.
