Jamal Hagood

Jamal Hagood is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, as well as partnerships and talent acquisition. Currently serving as the Manager of College Success at EMERGE, Jamal oversees programs focused on student development. Previous roles include Associate at AboveBoard, where Jamal identified needs within the company’s platform, and Talent Acquisition Associate at True Search, serving as DEI Liaison to campus recruiting. Jamal also held the position of Associate Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Admissions at Penn Medicine, coordinating a medical school preparation program. Additional experience includes managing residential services at the University of Pennsylvania and housing assignments at the University of Michigan. Jamal holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
