Professor Wendy Alexander currently serves on multiple advisory and leadership roles, including positions on the UK Advisory Board for ApplyBoard and Studyportals, alongside being a Board Trustee for the British Council. As a Venture Partner at Emerge Education, Alexander supports investment in education entrepreneurs. Additionally, Alexander chairs the International Education Advisory Board for Times Higher Education and contributes to the Investment Advisory Board at Scottish Equity Partners. Significant involvement includes membership in the Education Sector Advisory Group for the Department for International Trade and serving as International Trade Envoy for the Scottish Government. As Patron of the Enterprise and Skills Strategic Board for Social Investment Scotland, Alexander has played a key role in supporting social enterprises. Academic credentials include an MBA from INSEAD, a Master’s in Industrial Relations from the University of Warwick, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economic and Modern History from the University of Glasgow, with ongoing strategic leadership as Vice-Principal for International Affairs at the University of Dundee.
