Carmen Gill Bailey, MD FAAP, serves as the Deputy Director and Medical Director for Loudoun County Government since August 2023 and has held the position of Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s National Medical Center since November 2017, providing clinical care and emergency management for pediatric patients. With extensive experience in pediatric healthcare, Carmen has also worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist for Emergency Medicine Associates, P.A., P.C., and previously served as Chief Medical Officer for The City of Frederick and Executive Director & Medical Director at Children's National Medical Center. Carmen's background includes a role as School Health Physician at Fairfax County Health Department, focusing on the School Health and Maternal Child Health Programs. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Pre Med from Spelman College.
