Kara Walker

Kara Walker is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in tourism and event management. Since June 2018, Kara has served as Chair of the Schools of Tourism & Outdoor Recreation Management and as an Instructor in the School of Tourism Management at Capilano University. Kara is also a Certified Associate with Emergenetics International since 2014. Previous roles include Events & Membership Manager at the North Vancouver Chamber from 2016 to 2018, Project Manager for the Surrey 2016 WBSC XV World Women's Softball Championship from 2013 to 2016, Marketing Specialist at Whistler Sport Legacies from 2010 to 2014, and positions with VANOC from 2008 to 2010. Kara holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Virginia Tech.
