John Pittman

John Pittman, PharmD, AAHIVP has diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. John currently holds the position of Director, Medical & Scientific Communications, Global Medical Affairs at Emergent BioSolutions since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager, Medical Communications at the same company from January 2021 to June 2023. Before joining Emergent BioSolutions, they were a Content Medical Information Specialist, Oncology at Med Communications, Inc. from March 2020 to January 2021. At The GW Medical Faculty Associates, they served as Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge/Research Pharmacist from March 2019 to March 2020, where they oversaw numerous clinical trials across various therapeutic areas. John also worked as an Opioid Treatment Program Pharmacist at SPECIALIZED TREATMENT SERVICES from October 2017 to January 2019. Additionally, they gained experience as a Compounding/Staff Pharmacist, Registered Pharmacist, and Pharmacy Intern at Lloyd's Pharmacy from May 2014 to January 2019.

John Pittman, PharmD, AAHIVP completed their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the University of Minnesota from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their education, John has obtained certifications such as AAHIVP from the American Academy of HIV Medicine and holds the title of Registered Pharmacist.
