Rafael Muniz

Rafael Muniz, MD, currently serves as Vice President of Global Medical Affairs at Emergent BioSolutions since July 2025. In addition to this role, Rafael holds positions as a Director on the Boards of GLADGRADE Holding Corporation and Genomics Medical Research, both starting in November 2023. Previously, Rafael was VP of Medical Affairs and Principal Consultant at RM Medical Affairs/Pharmaceutical Strategic Consulting since November 2021, with prior experience as VP of Global Medical Affairs at MindMed and Stoke Therapeutics from February 2024 to February 2025 and May 2022 to November 2023, respectively. Rafael's foundational career includes a significant tenure at Mylan as VP of Global Medical Affairs until December 2020, and prior roles at Eisai, Lundbeck, and Shionogi Inc. in medical leadership capacities. Rafael's educational background features an MD degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, complemented by Psychiatry Residency Training at Bergen Regional Medical Center. Additional training includes family practice residency and academic accomplishments from Columbia University and New York University, as well as a high school diploma from Fordham Preparatory School.
