Wayne Hsieh

Wayne Hsieh is a Senior Scientist at Emergent BioSolutions since April 2021, previously serving as a Scientist in the same organization. Prior to this role, Wayne Hsieh worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 2016 to March 2021, focusing on the relationship between metabolism and macrophage inflammation. Wayne Hsieh also held the position of EMBO short-term research fellow at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where research centered on macrophage-hepatocyte interactions during liver inflammation. Wayne Hsieh's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, where research examined various aspects of interferon effects on cholesterol metabolism and macrophage functionality. Additionally, Wayne Hsieh earned an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
