Barbara Stockman

Barbara Stockman has extensive work experience in compliance and privacy roles. Barbara most recently worked as the Director of Compliance and Privacy Official at Emergent Holdings, Inc. from February 2018. Prior to that, they held the same role at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan from January 2015 to February 2018. Barbara also served as the Sr. Director/Corporate Counsel/Ethics & Compliance at Kelly Services from September 2005 to October 2014. Before that, they were the Employment Law Practice Group Leader and Partner at Clark Hill PLC from April 1998 to September 2005. Barbara began their legal career as an Associate Partner at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, where they worked from 1990 to April 1998.

Barbara Stockman obtained their Bachelor's degree in Legal Administration from Madonna University. Barbara then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law from 1986 to 1990, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. In terms of certifications, Barbara obtained the credentials of Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) in January 2019, Certified Healthcare Compliance from HCCA in October 2015, Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in October 2011, and they became an Attorney And Counselor through the State Bar of Michigan in November 1990.
