Sylvester D'Agostino

Sylvester D'Agostino is the current Director of Project Delivery at Emergent Software. Prior to their current position, they worked for UnitedHealth Group from June 2006 to July 2019 as the Associate Director of Portfolio Management. In this role, they were responsible for managing a development portfolio of over $80 million per year for the Risk, Quality, and Network Solutions line of business, which generated over $1 billion in revenue annually.

D'Agostino oversaw and led the transformation of the company's traditional waterfall processes to agile practices and methods. Sylvester implemented a portfolio-wide program increment planning model using the Agile/SAFe framework and worked closely with the business and corporate finance teams to spearhead the transition to a fixed capacity billing model. Sylvester also managed a team of 15 senior program and project managers, providing guidance and support as they navigated their programs through the fundamental shift to an agile framework.

D'Agostino is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of program status, key performance indicators, initiative roadmaps, and financial forecasts across 19 capital and 50+ O&M / Non-capital development programs.

Sylvester D'Agostino attended the University of St. Thomas for Business Administration and Management, General. Sylvester has a certification from The LeSS Company in LeSS Basics, Scaled Agile, Inc. in SAFe Agilist 4.0 Certification, EXIN in ITIL v3 Foundations, UnitedHealth Group in Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP).
