Akhil Rao

After receiving a B.S. in business administration, finance and economics at UC Riverside in 2012, Akhil Rao spent nine months in a public affairs fellowship in Los Angeles and two years as a data analyst at Red9 before enrolling in a Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he graduated in 2019 with a focus on space economics. He collaborated with Dr. Greenblatt in writing Emerging Futures' entry analyzing a 1,000-person settlement for the Mars Society's 2019 Mars Colony Prize contest. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT.
