Karen Jakiel, CFRE

Karen Jakiel, CFRE has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karen started their career in 1992 as a Field Director at Penn Lakes Girl Scout Council, where they were responsible for recruiting and selecting volunteer personnel, supervising volunteer management teams, and evaluating program delivery.

In 1995, Jakiel joined the American Cancer Society as a Health Initiatives Manager. In this role, they provided leadership and direction for various health initiatives within a fourteen county assignment. Additionally, they managed a team of seven staff members and one administrative assistant. Karen also provided support to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Community Partnership Grant Review Committee for the Western Region. In 2013, they were promoted to Sr. Market Manager, Community Engagement - Erie, where they led community engagement and corporate partnership activities, accountable for mission and income targets. Karen'sresponsibilities also included managing relationships with corporations, small health systems, and volunteer leadership groups.

Most recently, Jakiel worked at EmergyCare as the Director of Community Development, starting in December 2017.
