Technologist In Residence at Emerson Collective

Josh Nesbit is a seasoned technologist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in community health and social innovation. Currently serving as Technologist in Residence at Emerson Collective and Founder of New Relations, Josh provides advisory and hands-on support to organizations focused on community care. As a founding member of Widespread Care, Josh collaborates with doulas to foster mutual support and community organizing. Josh co-founded Medic, leading it as CEO to expand operations globally. Previously, Josh held the position of Chief Technology Officer at GirlTREK, where technology strategies and partnerships were developed to support the mission of improving the life expectancy of Black women. With a background in various nonprofit and advisory roles, including board memberships at IntraHealth International and Developing Radio Partners, Josh has consistently worked toward empowering communities through technology and health initiatives. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University.
