Teresa Garcia currently serves as the Director of Government Relations for Latin America at Emerson Collective, a position held since March 2024. Prior experience includes roles at Open Society Foundations, where Teresa advanced from Program Officer to Associate Director and ultimately Senior Program Officer, focusing on strategy development, grantmaking, and civil society partnerships. Previous positions include Senior Program Associate at the Washington Office on Latin America, and various research roles at American University School of International Service and the Public International Law and Policy Group, among others. Teresa's academic credentials include a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a concentration in U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Higher Institute of International Relations.
