Jakub Lau

Jakub Lau currently serves as Principal at The Emerson School since August 2014. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Principal at The Mott Hall School from August 2011 to August 2014 and at Frederick Douglass Academy in February 2011 to August 2011. Jakub also worked as an English Teacher at Frederick Douglass Academy III from August 2006 to January 2011. Jakub Lau's educational qualifications include a School District Leadership Certification in Educational Leadership and Administration from Bank Street College of Education (2018-2019), an M.Ed. in Organization and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University (2009-2010), an M.S. in English Education from Lehman College (2006-2008), a B.A. in English and History from Vanderbilt University (2002-2006), and a diploma from The Roxbury Latin School (1997-2002).
