Katie Tilton

Katie Tilton currently serves as a teacher at Emerson School since August 2021 and has extensive experience in educational leadership and organizational roles. As president of Brain Monkeys since June 2004 and president of United Learning from May 2014 to December 2023, Katie has focused on fostering community engagement in education, particularly for home school students. Additionally, Katie organized the Ann Arbor Mini Maker Faire and Washtenaw County Maker Meetings from September 2014 to December 2023, promoting innovation and creativity. Previous entrepreneurial ventures include serving as president of Flutterbot LLC from 2005 to 2012 and co-owner of Rocks and Robots from 2004 to 2011. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from Hollins University and multiple teaching certifications from Adrian College.
